Dr Stefan Pieke

Dr.-Ing. Stefan Pieke is Managing Director of Opsytec Dr. Gröbel GmbH and heads production. Together with Dr Mark Paravia he founded Opsytec GmbH for development services and contract measurements in optical technologies; it later merged with Dr. Gröbel UV-Elektronik to form today’s Opsytec Dr. Gröbel GmbH.

Areas of expertise

His focus is on UV curing, UV LED systems, optical simulation and process analysis – from designing an irradiation through the measurement to assessing the process.

Background

Dr Pieke studied electrical engineering and optics at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and worked as a research assistant before moving into management.

Doctorate

His doctoral thesis deals with the efficient curing of surface coatings by UV radiation: Experimentelle Untersuchungen zur effizienten Vernetzung von Oberflächenbeschichtungen mit UV-Strahlung, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (full text).
